Changalavatta Vilakku

This vilakku (oil lamp) is also known "Changalavatta". One of the most important lamps in the temples of Kerala. Among all other lamps, its shape is entirely different. It has a long leaf-shaped structure. Changalavatta is known for its ornamental beauty. It contains an oil tank with an attached ladle. The ladle is used to replenish the lamp with oil.
